Limits, privacy and reliability
- At the limit: Links or buttons stop working when you go over the limit. Pricing FAQ: 'Calendar clicks past 100/month show visitors a "temporarily unavailable" state instead of silently opening calendars. RSVPs past 50/event display "event at capacity".' Creating a 4th event shows an 'upgrade to add more' message. The FAQ answer is in the page's script bundle, not the server-rendered HTML. source

What it is
SpreadEvent is an add-to-calendar button and RSVP tool. It is run by Scale by System Consulting & Management - FZCO, a company registered in Dubai. It covers embeddable buttons, RSVP forms with a waitlist, recurring events and basic event analytics. Pro adds full analytics and attribution, A/B testing, tracking pixels, webhooks, Zapier and SMS through Twilio. The app itself is very basic: three sections (Events, Analytics and Integrations). Payments go through Paddle, which adds VAT where it applies.
Pricing in plain words
There are two plans. Free allows 3 events, 3 calendars, 100 calendar clicks a month across the account, 50 RSVPs per event and 1 team member, and shows a “Powered by SpreadEvent” badge. Pro costs $33 a month, or $27 a month billed yearly ($324). It removes all of those limits, including team members, and removes the badge. Pro has a 14-day trial, and the trial requires a credit card. No nonprofit discount is mentioned.
What counts is calendar clicks per month. Each click on a button counts toward the 100, no matter which event it belongs to.
Things to watch
- The free cap is hard. SpreadEvent’s FAQ says that after 100 clicks in a month, visitors see a “temporarily unavailable” state instead of the calendar opening. RSVPs past 50 show “event at capacity”. A single successful event can use up the month’s allowance.
- Three events is a small limit for anything beyond trying the product out.
- Full analytics, A/B testing and tracking pixels are Pro only, even though the pricing page’s comparison table ticks them on Free. Free gets a basic analytics page.
- There is no usable API. The pricing page advertises a “Full REST API” on Pro, but there is no API documentation anywhere, so we don’t count it.
- Registered in Dubai, which we see as a concern. The company is a UAE free-zone company, outside the EU, UK and US. The EU has no adequacy decision for the UAE, so EU personal data relies on standard contractual clauses, which the privacy policy cites. No customer DPA is offered and no data location is stated. Teams that need an EU or US contracting party, or a signed DPA, should check this before buying.
- Subscription calendars, custom domains and SSO are not mentioned.
- SpreadEvent’s own comparison content contains errors. Its blog says CalGet “doesn’t appear to exist”, but CalGet is live and SpreadEvent’s own pricing page lists CalGet’s prices. The blog’s figure of 10,000 clicks for AddEvent Professional is out of date: AddEvent’s own page says 25,000. Its pricing table also says competitors have no webhooks, but AddCal (Business) and Add to Calendar PRO both document them.
